½ c oil
¼ c brown sugar
¼ c white sugar
1 egg
1 c molasses
3 c flour
1 ½ tsp soda
2 tsp ginger
½ tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp salt
1 c hot water

Cream oil, and sugars well. Add egg and molasses beating well. Add dry ingredients mixing well, but alternating with the hot water.

Fill muffin tins and bake at 350 F for about 25 minutes. Makes 14 large muffins
