1 ½ c raisins
1 ½ c water
2/3 c brown sugar
½ c shortening
1 egg
1 ½ c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Boil raisins in water for 20 minutes. Let cool.
Cream sugars, shortening and egg. Add drained raisins plus ½ c raisin water to sugar mixture.
Add dry ingredients, and vanilla. Mix well. Fill muffin cups and bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
