1 c margarine or butter
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour (yes you need all this flour)
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/3 c cocoa
2 c chocolate chips

Directions
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla and mix.
Combine flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. Add half a cup at a time to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition until no dry flour remains.
Stir in chocolate chips
375 for 8-10 minutes when cracks form on the surface.

Place on wire racks to cool. Makes about 36 cookies.

Note: This mixture will seem really stiff, but it cooks up well. Do not add extra liquid.
