Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
4 eggs
1 ⅔ cups white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.

Heat milk and butter in a small saucepan until just boiling, then remove from heat and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs for 4 minutes with electric mixer. Gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy, 4 to 5 minutes.

Whisk together the flour and baking powder, and add to egg mixture until just combined.

Gradually pour the milk-butter mixture into the batter, mixing constantly. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven until cake is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
