1 cedar plank
2 ½ lb fillet of salmon
1 tsp coarse salt
½ tsp black pepper
¼ c maple syrup
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
½ tsp lime zest
2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
Soak the plank for two hours.
Preheat the grill. Lightly oil the grate. Place the plank across the grate as it preheats. Season the salmon with salt and pepper, place on the plank. After whisking the remaining ingredients, baste the salmon. Cook for about 10 minutes. Serve the chives.
