INGREDIENTS
1½ pounds Sirloin steak (alternatively, please feel free to use any cut you like)
1 medium-sized Brown onion
(As required) Cooking oil
Seasonings
6 cloves Garlic
6 sprigs Thyme
(To taste) Salt
(To taste) Black pepper
Broth
1 cube Beef bouillon
1¼ cup Hot water
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1¼ cup Worcestershire sauce or Dark soy sauce
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Defrost your steak before starting any steps of this recipe.
Slice all garlic cloves and add all seasonings to both sides of the steak. Leave at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Lightly brown in a large, non-stick skillet on both sides over a splash of cooking oil. You only need to do this for a couple of minutes on either side.
Dice the brown onion and place them in the slow cooker. Then place the steak on top of the onion layer.
Mix your bouillon with hot water and stir until dissolved. Then add the cornstarch and mix well until you have a thicker texture. Then add your Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
Pour the mixture evenly on top of your steak.
Cover your slow cooker with the lid. Follow the appropriate time to slow cook your steak to your desired doneness. Done! 3 hours on high should give you a medium steak.
